Thursday night is hill climb night

Hi Folks
As always, it's been a while since the last update. If I'm honest I do miss making updates but with such a limited readership the stuff can stay in my head just as easily. That and I've been very busy with my gaming of late, and not just racing!

Anyway, this Thursday is going to be another Hill Climb night. the last time It worked really well, though no replays as nothing to save given it's technically a 'practice' - I might work on that this week though...

So the track, I'm tempted to race the same again, but I do have some alternatives...
One is probably what I'd call a proper hill climb, but is very short, the other is a bit longer but doesn't flow quite as well. Open to suggestions:

Can't think of a better name, it's not a pretty track to drive. Longer track

I do like this, but it is a bit short for group racing I think.

Of this second one, here's a replay:

A nice track for sure.
More arty, this is the track we did the last time we did this...

All very arty I think you'll agree. Shame though, as the replay doesn't do justice to the amount of  "ohhhh" going on getting around every corner.

And as I recorded these, I've decided to record a few more, see if you can spot yourself in the following matinee...

But did Pops win?

Not the slowest cars, but certainly some eclectic racers...

Open room racing saw some newcomers to the group

And because I could, I've recorded a race at Brands in Shift2 Unleashed. It's fair to say I have a love/hate relationship with this game. In the smaller cars I love it, in the GT cars I can't stand it. The cars and the racing is great, but the physics I just can't dial to being correct. In any case, I set the difficulty to hard and still romped home a win in this race, Lackadaisical Lambos I think...

Lastly, a plug, a top site for when you're bored - and can skim past the ever increasing stance rubbish... http://www.speedhunters.com/ - Sitting in casualty the other night this site was my salvation with many very nicely written articles, and a healthy dose of "how can you afford that car and to do that to it" in just about every article.
