League Race #8 Results

Hi Folks,
Just results today, I'll see if I can do all the uploadery stuff with the vids later.

Clubman Roundup
AEM S2000 cars on Race/Hard at Laguna eh? Well, those cars continue to bite if you push too hard. They're an excellent race school car for that, and the racing was suitably hectic as a result.
I can't remember too much, a sure sign that concentration was full on during that race.
Again, the clubman has proven itself as a viable racing challenge if not an outright pro event thanks to pretty dire handling cars.

Championship Roundup
Epic race folks.
Introducing the tyre wear into the mix really shook the racing up. And although it was racing mediums and single stop as the preferred (some of you were doing the hards in the first stint though right?), the time of the stop really made the difference.
Chris, your Honda really suffered with an overly early pit in I think, probably cost you the race. Evan, the only way to go when you're at the front is back, but you held on to a well deserved win I think.
George - classic, "Nooooooo hard tyres again!" - the results speak for themselves there for sure, unlucky chap.
Luke's race was full on too - many times you were in the mix chap - I'm glad, those of us that practice a lot (err me) should have it easier, but it's great to see you dicing with the pack in that race.

Special mention to Evan though, through the miracle that is endurance racing this is the first winning whitewash this season, and possibly ever. Good show sir!

After races
The HRC460 class continues to be thrashed and tested. Chris's skyline (the one coloured like a detergent bottle) has had it's teeth pulled in no uncertain terms. It's still a contender, but I can see the the likes of the Countach and the Ferrari are going to be hard to beat in a race, maybe only the Countach actually.
What is for sure is that the class is here to stay. It's great fun and a nice balance of slightly slower with slightly less grip.

Next week
This next week is a pointless night and the calendar has it as a TC500 night. We'll certainly do some class racing, but will also look to do some trials of other cars.
One thing I'm keen to try is 600pp 4WD Race cars (so R35 Turing Cars basically). If you have something suitable, feel free to gift it to me and I'll fettle and gift back. Or roll your own - prefer that in fact, we get a mix of race handling!
Also, start checking the second had car dealership for HRC460 capable cars - last night I picked up a Yellow Bird (now Red Bird) and a Honda NSX '90 - is this the class winning car (not by the test lap it's not).

Race on!
