League Race #8 La Sarthe - Season Finalie

It's all over.

Snif.

The season finale has run it's course on the legendary Le Mans track. I think the hype possibly outstripped the event in the end.

Special mention to George - and his ISP/Router. Such a shame you dropped out mate, that Masser' had every chance to win, time to swap something out and come back faster next season eh.

So what of the results?

Official Results:

1 - Evan (20 points)
2 - Andrew (16 points)
3 - Paul (12 points)
4 - Rod (8 points)
5 - George (4 points) DNF

And so where did our season end up eh? So many points in that last race has shook it up nicely...

Season Standings:

1 - Andrew (68 points) - stewards enquiry for race fixing pending.
2 - Evan (67 points)
3 - Paul (40 points)
4 - George (38 points)
5 - Rod (31 points)
6 - Baloo (18 points)
7 - Adam (06 points)

So there we have it. I think the message is consistency, in the racing and in attendance.

Evan you're super consistent. It's scary, once you're in the lead it's very hard to get it back. Now you've found a competitive car we're in trouble...

Paul, blinding last race and it's grabbed you a season podium. Awesome effort and I'd have never thought that Lambo could have pulled it off, but the results show...

George, your racing season didn't include a couple of races early on, and of course we had a couple I think where you dropped out - that's what killed your season mate.

Rod, I reckon if you get a car that you're comfortable with you'll be a major contender in the next season, of everyone's game raising (we're all much, much faster) I reckon you've come on the most.

Baloo, Anything we can do to help you get online and race - you've got to be in it to win it dude, and your RX7 is spot on for Le Mans. Other tracks? We'll find out eh.

Adam. Helloooo, anyone there? Earth to Adam? Nope? Let me know if you want in next season...

I'll find a new share point for the race log so you can all have a look at the spread of results.

Race notes:
So, of the race...
Another top race of course. And you know whilst I didn't see you Rod/Paul, I watch the replay and you were never very far behind at all to be honest. I do think that at Le Mans a 4wd struggles on the back straights - they're damn quick around other circuits, but maybe the 2wd cars have a better top end where it counts. Other tracks I think will level that a great deal.

And, here's the race in youtube glory;

A fitting way to end the season I think!

Next season
