Race Round Up
Clubman.
The Gallardos continue to be errr fun. I still can't decide if it's quicker to drift the corner on full power or to take an ultra smooth line with these cars. What's for certain is they brake like a bar of soap in a wet bath. The amount of times I seemed to lock up then spin backwards off the track... well, that's my excuse!
In any case they're an entertaining car without too many vices, almost certainly to have another appearance soon.
I'll need to watch the replay from someone else's position too, my own special race off the back didn't encounter much competition other than the occasional (every) corner.
Championship
Ah the TC500 class, this has to be the best league class we have. It might have suffered in the PP fiasco but there's no doubt that the close racing is back now.
And what of the RX8's - so dominant in the first few races, and whilst undeniably quick certainly not cruising off into the distance.
Special mention to Luke, a second place is well deserved chap. And mention to Callum, I think we all cheered a bit on the inside as your Schumacher dominance of the series seems to be unfolding... but is it, the points may say otherwise (and not because I've given a new starter discount).
I reckon if I'd not had the punt (and yes,we all get them so not complaining) my RX7 LM would have kept up with the Hondas in the GT590 - certainly the scamper off the line was great compared to them, but the most excellent cornering of those cars just keeps them going. Evan, I wonder if it's time to blow the dust off your NSX now the PP points have calmed down, I reckon that'll be about all that can smash those cars...

Next week
I look at the calendar and next week is 20 laps of Spa in the 650Open class. Blimey. Now you're all wondering about that line I take through Eau Rouge. Meh, figure it out, and although this vid might not help, it's well worth a watch with the sound as loud as your tinny laptop speakers can cope with!
Right now!
Too late, but it's my duty to inform you that tonight is Le Mans night! There's live streaming too (hopefully):
