Most importantly, if you push someone out of the track you have to wait until that person got back the track and go back behind, but try to avoid any collission of course.
Here is the setup:
Date: 02/03/2011 Wednesday
Time: 9pm
Race starts: 9:15pm
Lounge: FCT GT5 Baloo
Track: Random track created over the weekend but not raced on (4km - 2 minutes) Download the demo (Race 2a 4km Demo) track from my tracks under Community for practice. It is not the same track but the length, number of corners and hills are pretty much similar so you can tune your car to stay on road using this track.
Laps: 4 laps
Grid position: Random - so during the warm up you can focus on the track and not stressed about the time
Car: Any car in the garage with maximum PP 587 -(I'll take the DB9) if you don't have a car which has 587 PP send me your highest PP and I'll adjust the maximum PP.
Penalty: off
Aids: off
Mechanical damage: Light - maybe turned off
Tyres: Racing soft - make it easy for the unknown track.

Just to add to this folks, had a go with this with Baloo recently, on a Toscana road track that I'd created. Me in a Countach anniversary, he in his tricked out DB9. Uneven? Nope, we set the performance points to 560 - I had 570+Bhp, but on sports soft tyres, Baloo had full race spec, wings front and rear etc, but had to bring performance down to 52% or so - a major power drop.
What happened? I raced off the line, got a good lead and was laughing, right up to the first set of twisty 2nd gear bends. Then Baloo was past.
Racing carried on like this, swapping places left and right and generally making use of the other's errors.
Out of each bend Baloo was away, but going into the next I'd be catching fast, only to give ground mid corner.
Gents as we are, if we punted the other one, which did happen, we tried to allow the other to recover - that itself made the racing interesting as we tried to avoid each other's carnage...
Final result after two laps, a gap of less than a second in two cars you'd never compare.
Marvellous.
It was indeed!
Hey guys. Your plan has just been foiled by PD. Update 1.07 has just been released.
Performance points (PP), which is an index of a car’s overall performance, is now calculated regardless of your tire selection. You can now set performance point restrictions and tire restrictions separately when you race in a lounge
err that's fine. The race has PP and tyres specified separately. Just happened like that for our test race.
Thanks for the 1.07 update notice though, I'll fire up as soon as I get home.
Updated the PP and demo track is available for download on my profile for practice. See you on Wednesday... Hopefully this time the kids will behave and I can go to play...
I say that we have damage turned off.
With the Toscana road tracks the track wall is invisible in a lot of places, and close to the track, meaning a lot of wall hits.
Of course there's the opportunity to wall ride, but then I reckon that 'Wall rider' is an anagram of 'Wanker'...;o)
